In an emergency the Vial of Life will speak for you when you can’t! Do you have one?
Gordon Stueck, BSP
The Vial of Life is a medicine bottle that holds your personal medical information; the vial can be stored in your refrigerator for easy access in an emergency. Your Vial of Life should contain a completed Vial of Life form, a current photo of yourself, a Living Will or equivalent, any Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) documentation, any other documentation you feel is important.
You can pick up your own Vial of Life kit, free of charge at Stueck Pharmacy. Talk to one of the pharmacists about the information that you should keep in your vial and ask to have a printout of your medications that can be included.
Don’t forget to put a Vial of Life sticker on your refrigerator to let EMS know where to check for your information.
The Vial of Life is designed to speak for you when you can’t speak for yourself.
